Project Engineer with a regional NSW council based in the heart of New South Wales
About the role:
This position is responsible for managing the safe and efficient delivery of capital and operational projects from inception through to completion, including contract management, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 + super
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver a wide range of infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, compliance, quality, and budget adherence.
- Manage contracts including tendering, evaluation, and contractor supervision.
- Provide technical advice to management and key stakeholders.
- Oversee site inspections, commissioning, and defect liability management.
- Foster a positive team culture and build strong relationships with clients and contractors.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years’ experience as a Civil Engineer, preferably with a focus on water infrastructure such as treatment plants and pump stations
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
